Privacy Policy

Beta placeholder — this page describes our current practices and has not yet been reviewed by counsel. It will be finalized before general availability.

SignLinker is operated by Sign Linker Inc.

What we collect

Account information: your name, email and phone, from Clerk, the sign-in provider we use on the website and in the app. Job request details you submit: category, description, location and photos. Messages you send on SignLinker. If you work for a sign company: your company profile, quotes and site-survey records. Basic usage data needed to run the marketplace, and a record each time a professional follows a Pro Benefits offer on the website.

How we use it

To operate the marketplace: matching job requests with professionals, showing you your own requests and responses, and communicating with you about your account or activity. We do not sell your personal information.

Payments

Payments and professional payouts are processed by Stripe. SignLinker does not store your full card number.

AI features

Some features send content to OpenAI, an AI provider, so the feature can work. A voice note recorded for a site survey is sent to be transcribed. Photos used with Remote Survey AI are sent to estimate measurements. An Assistance request and the professionals’ responses to it are sent to write the summary shown to the customer. A question you ask the support assistant is sent so it can answer. The content is used to provide that feature.

Service providers and where your data is kept

We use Clerk (sign-in), Stripe for payments, Vercel and Vercel Blob (hosting and files), Neon (database) and OpenAI (AI features). When email notifications are switched on, Resend delivers them. Your information may be stored and processed outside Canada.

Who can see what

Job posts show an approximate location publicly, not your exact address, email, or phone. Full contact details are only shared with a professional once you choose to engage with them.

Cookies

SignLinker uses a few cookies to keep you signed in and to make the site work. On Shop pages that show a payment option from Affirm, and at checkout, our payment provider Stripe sets its own cookies (named __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid) to process payments, show payment options and prevent fraud. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the Shop and checkout may then not work. Read Stripe's privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy.

The SignLinker app

The app for iPhone and Android uses the same account and the same data as signlinker.com. It asks for your camera or photo library only when you choose to add a photo, for example to a sign request or a site survey. It reads only the photos you pick. You can turn either permission off in your phone’s settings. The app keeps you signed in on the phone through Clerk. A site survey you are typing is kept on the phone, in its encrypted secure storage, until you save it. The app does not use your location, your microphone, advertising identifiers or third-party analytics.

Photos and files

Photos and files you upload are stored privately. Only you, the professionals your job is shared with, and SignLinker staff when needed for support or safety can open them.

Your choices, and deleting your account

You can request access to, or correction of, your personal information by contacting us. You can delete your account yourself: in the app, under Account, then Delete account; or on the website at signlinker.com/account/delete. Deleting removes your sign-in, name, email, phone, profile, saved companies and the addresses only you hold. Files you uploaded are not removed automatically yet: contact support and we will remove the ones only you hold. We keep invoices, tax, payout and dispute records for 7 years. Messages and project records another person or company holds stay with them, under “Deleted user”. An account cannot be deleted while an order, a payment, a dispute or a payout is still open.
